Sprocketeers

The dream of sprocketeers is finally taking shape, the vision becoming clearer in 2020. Planning to have my oldest sons build their own bikes become a challenge with a global shutdown and parts becoming harder to find. I also had a broken hub and wheel that needed to be replaced. With extra time on my hands not coaching or volunteering I set out to learn how to lace wheels and rebuild hubs and forks. It also seemed like great skills I could pass along to my kids. With shops having shorter hours and being much busier than in the past due to so many more people at home with their kids or looking ways to stay fit outside the gym in the next several years they may need to learn how to fix their own bikes or use an independent mechanic if they need something fixed quickly. Sprocketeers will seek to empower home and independent mechanics with tools and services.
